April Skills Clubs in Glasgow

Our latest series of Digital Skills Clubs started today in Glasgow. Working in collaboration with Glasgow Rocks and being held at Glasgow Kelvin College campus, these classes are entirely free of charge thanks to sponsorship from ECS.

These Skills Clubs are aimed at young people from 8 – 18 and provide a mix of learning and development alongside fun. Having spent time creating your virtual meta human or designing your game scenario you then have time to play with them, show them to the group and see what others have created.

All students participating in our Glasgow Skills Clubs will receive a free ticket to a Glasgow Rocks Basketball Game!

Have you ever wanted to create your own game character, give it personality, and bring it to life – well now you can. In this lesson, you will learn about three-dimensional character animation, you will concept, create, customize, export, and animate a fully rigged metahuman using the latest tools, providing unprecedented standard of quality, fidelity, and realism.

Have you ever wondered how designers create games that involve walking, running, and jumping? Now it’s your turn to Build, Animate and Play your first 3D game scenario in the Unreal Engine. In this lesson, you will learn how to build an environment with an aim to get the player to navigate around your chosen environment. You will also have a chance to get familiar with navigating the Unreal Engine user interface, learning to modify objects to include collision detection and place objects throughout the level to develop the game world.
